Derek Henderson Talking About Friends, Idols, Heart Issues and Man-Blading

Growing up in the armpit of California can be pretty difficult for a blader, flat land, flat architecture, flat blade spots. Having and thriving on these difficulties has definitely shaped Derek to the blader he is. A hard finesse/precise/inventive/fuck-you style should sum up his blading, I might be missing some other distinct points but it's ok, you can come up with whatever you want, he won't give a shit. In this self conscious, trend following world, I feel that blading needs a kid like Derek. Call it man-blading, call it thrash-blading, call it whatever you want, Derek definitely has what people need. Give this a read and discover another side to a dude I'm honored to be friends with: Derek Henderson.... Read More...

Arne Dahlmeier: One Minute One Spot

Arne Dahlmeier's name should be familiar to anyone that knows the ropes in the European scene. After he's left Razors a couple years ago things started to become rather quiet around him, even though he was, and still is, skating on an extremely high level. This year, after being hired out as a courtshow actor and hair model – lacking success in both ventures – he relocated from Bielefeld to Stuttgart. Shortly after his move and following a recent shoulder injury, which made surgery a necessity, he is now again fully functional and just paid his hometown a quick visit in order to film for this edit at one of his favorite spots. Welcome him back as he has fought what seems to have been an uphill battle of obstacles, taking it back to where it all began. ... Read More...

Blast from the Past: Matteo Attanasio

I can’t really remember how long we know each other... But at the time we first met, Matteo was the only German skater with good style. Sorry, that's how it was. He has always been a soul skater. And a playboy on wheels. He wanted to end his pro career at a very young age to skate just for the fun of it. He wanted to have sessions and to travel without any obligations to skate at a contest. Crazy ass dreamer, you say? But guess what: that is what he did! And until now he remains as the first of a complete generation of soul skaters I have met. He is now working on putting this into picture.... Read More...

Bart Laubsch: One Minute One Spot

Berlin is huge and it seems there are spots everywhere, but only a few are cool for chill sessions and not only for shooting. One of them is this curb spot which just invites people to enjoy some long lines. Time to test this one… Berlins “super local” Bart Laubsch is skating since forever and even though it becomes silent around him once in a while he is still ripping it. If he feels like, he just pops out of nowhere and surprises the crowd as well as himself with new tricks or just impresses with his unique style and way of control. Time to give Germany's former “PIT Champion” a “One Minute One Spot”!... Read More...

Adam Zurawiecki interview

If you think of Rollerblading in Poland you might think of two things at least: Hedonskate and Adam Zurawiecki. Adam is a strong pillar in the Polish skate scene. If you look up his name on youtube, you will find a dozen edits that kicks ass. After a decade of hard skating Adam is still stepping up the game - not only with his skating, but also with his never ending dedication to the sport and some interesting ideas that will make Rollerblading look good and strong. For his Be-Mag interview Adam didn't come up with the normal street skate and interview shots. That's not his nature. instead, he was looking for some extraordinary stuff. ... Read More...

Nick Wood, Damien Wilson, Joey Chase and more: One Minute, One Spot

Three years ago, us boys in Santee got pissed that all the good rails around here were capped, and we sucked at hand rails, so we asked our sponsors to help us build a training ground. 4X4, M1, and Remz contributed to us along with our own money to build a practice rail in Damien's yard. Since then we've been having regular legendary BBQ's and sessions like this one shown were we skate the rail and have good ole American fun. This weekend Damien, Rob, Joey and Sammy Chase and me (Nick Wood) got down like we always do all summer long. When I started seeing the "One Minute One Spot" edits I thought that our weekly BBQ's were perfect for that forum. If the Internet homo's want to bust my ball's about doing a Two minute edit they can do the math and see there is 58 seconds of skating, so suck it from Santee. ... Read More...
