DEAD WHEELS PRESENTS ROADHOUSE & FRIENDS

Now for some of you new-school cats who may not be aware let me fill you in on some history! Way, way back in the medieval “Golden Age” of aggressive inline skating, there were actual young adults and even kids that participated in the activity and not the usual dusty, middle-aged dinosaurs you see now frequenting your local skateparks. Among these youngsters there was one individual that stood out from the pack with an unmatched charisma, skating prowess and colorful personality that made him one of the most recognizable and marketable skaters in the history of our sport. This mythical figure was Randy “Roadhouse” Spizer. During this time, Randy set the bar for the blading community by conquering some of biggest and most intimidating skate spots with an extremely progressive trick vocabulary. But what stood out the most was that Roadhouse made skating look fun. REALLY FUN. His mile-wide smile and laughter were as trademark as his tricks were. And on top of everything, Roadhouse had the backing of some of the biggest names in blading and his first signature “Crayola” themed anti-rocker wheels from the famous Senate brand stand as some of the most coveted and best selling wheels of all time.

And now some 25 years later; Randy “Roadhouse” Spizer has been making frequent appearances in contests like Blading Cup and seen in videos from the Them Skates brand and Sunday Brunch crew as well as being a regular attendee of the now famous Them Tuesdays park sessions. And to show appreciation for staging one of the most epic comebacks in history and his monumental achievements in pioneering rollerblading, the Dead Wheel brand have released a new collaborative wheel set which features a new revamped design and packaging from legendary blader and artist Arlo Eisenberg, the man who originally designed the iconic “Crayola” wheels and Dead Wheels brand designer Nicholas Stahl. The DeadXRoadhouse collaboration wheel pack includes: (4) multi-colored 58mm/92a wheels, (4) multi-colored 45mm/101a wheels, a hard enamel Dead pin, Roadhouse & Friends trading card set and Dead Wheels sticker sheet.

To kick off the release of the new collaboration wheels, Dead has also dropped an incredible new video profile filmed by Adam Johnson and Alex Broskow, edited by Adam Johnson with graphics by Nicholas Stahl and design by Arlo Eisenberg and Nicholas Stahl. The video features Randy Spizer and friends Alex Broskow, Sean Darst, Jon Julio, Alex Miranda, and Nolan Jun.
