Joe Atkinson has just released a jam packed new promo for his recent collaboration wheels from Famus Wheels and Sola Equipment. The new video was shot in London and edited by the always remarkable Jon Lee. The video highlights Joe smoothly flowing on some of the sketchiest looking and most difficult to ride concrete parks with total control and showing why he is a cut above the majority of the world and why he is touted as one of the best transition skaters in the history of our sport.
Joe’s new wheels were produced by a co-investment concept where both the rider and company fund the production and share their profits equally. The wheels were developed by Joe Atkinson, which feature a black urethane and anodized 6061 aluminum-core, and are specifically designed to be skated on smooth, uniform surfaces, such as wooden and concrete skateparks. The 6-spoke design evenly distributes loads, and provides a very strong and stable construction for park skating. The construction also provides a very fast and responsive rolling experience, due to the stiff aluminum cores. IMPORTANT: Due to the softer-grade urethane and stiff cores, these wheels are only intended for park skating, not rough, street/asphalt terrain.
Wheels are sold with pre-assembled ABEC – 9 bearings and aluminum spacers and come in two different sizes and hardnesses, 60mm 88a OR 64mm 90a. Every set of Sola Equipment for Joe Atkinson aluminum core wheels come with a limited edition sticker, and signed postcard, with a photograph shot by Ryan Schude of Joe Atkinson in Santa Monica, California.
