ABRATE & KATAYAMA WIN 2019 WORLD URBAN GAMES

In case you didn’t manage to catch the livestream this past weekend, the city of Budapest played host to the first ever World Urban Games, and it turned out to be one of the craziest park contest we’ve seen all year! Organized by a handful of international sports federations, there were 40.000€ on the line for rollerbladers: In the end, young Japanese prodigy Misaki Katayama and French powerhouse Roman Abrate rolled away with the gold, and a healthy check in their pockets!

The Budapest World Urban Games 2019 have just ended. It was a short, strong and great experience. The last day of competitions at the Roller Freestyle Park, where also BMX races took place, has seen spectacular performances. The attending copious and warm audience was definitely excited by the show.– World Skate
