In between filming for Picture Me Rolling and working two jobs, Erik Foster Burrow managed to pump out some high-quality clips for this short edit. We only went out filming for a short time on three separate occasions and in one night, accompanied each with a six-pack of Old Mill, threw together this little edit. Erik is the real deal. Bar none, he is the most dedicated rollerblader I know, he loves that shit.
Miguel is one of the most incredible people I know. His heart is as big as the universe. As good as it gets! His skating has been incredibly good since I can remember. Miguel have been skating for 17 years without stopping! One of the few. He has done so much for the blading community in Puerto Rico, that I dont even know how to be grateful but to tell you that he is one of the best bladers out there that can make a difference in the world. Good people like him is hard to find. If there aren't people like him I dont think there would be a skating scene in Puerto Rico. For years he has been the organizer of multiple events and competitions that keep the blading community in PR united and motivated to keep on rolling. If someone in Puerto Rico needs to be recognize in the blading community, definitely, has to be Miguel Ramos.
A few years ago, a new face appeared in the Montreal skating scene. I first met Kevin about 5 years ago in Montreal. He came at the shop with his parent to buy his first pair of skates. I never seen a kid getting new skates and being as much excited as Kevin. At that time, I knew this kid had something different. A couple of months after, local skaters started to get used to see Kevin at differents sessions even if was living 60 miles away from Montreal. I didnt took so long to realised that Kevin was gifted with a natural talent.
If you think of Rollerblading in Poland you might think of two things at least: Hedonskate and Adam Zurawiecki. Adam is a strong pillar in the Polish skate scene. If you look up his name on youtube, you will find a dozen edits that kicks ass. After a decade of hard skating Adam is still stepping up the game - not only with his skating, but also with his never ending dedication to the sport and some interesting ideas that will make Rollerblading look good and strong. For his Be-Mag interview Adam didn't come up with the normal street skate and interview shots. That's not his nature. instead, he was looking for some extraordinary stuff.
When we started the One Minute One Spot format on be-mag, we knew Franky would like that kind of format. We had no idea that Franky would provide a hammer edit like the one here - especially in the face of the fact Franky got injured right before filming for the edit. But this is Franky, one of the most popular icons of our sport's culture. Nothing can stop him to throw down his hammers.
Back in the day, Ryan has enriched several Rollerblading Magazines (e.g. Daily Bread) with his one-of-a-kind skateshots. But after Daily Bread went out of business, Ryan somehow dissappeared from the Rolling scene. What the hell has Ryan Schude been up to since that time? That was one of the reasons we had to catch up with this exceptional photographer.
Sam DeAngelis's photography has been popping up a lot lately. If you read online rolling media than you've seen his work shooting the NY and NJ scene. Want to know more about him? So did we, so we checked in, and Sam delivered this nice little interview along with some exclusive shots!
