Nicolas Schopfer: One Minute One Spot

It's a real pleasure for me to introduce the "One Minute One Spot" for my friend Nicolas Schopfer! I've known Nic for more than a decade now. I remember him skating back in the days when he was a 1,20 m tall kid skating in his blue Salomons and with his huge helmet – hence his nickname "Mushroom". From then on he never stopped skating, kept improving, always striving for perfection. He's now the great and stylish skater we all know! Thankfully Nic is always motivated for a little session. I'd say even more so now that he started editing etc. He's the one who brought me back into skating when we went to Malta after a few years break and I'm really grateful to him for everything!... Checking in with Edwin Wieringh

If you are into European Rollerblading, you might have come across the Amsterdam local Edwin Wieringh. Dutch, cleanest style ever, textbook truespin topsouls, always in a good mode and full of power – those are just some characteristics for a guy who loves Rollerblading more than anything else in his life and that often shreds the Amsterdam streets just by himself. There are some Rollerbladers in our industry that are known worldwide for their extraordinary talent although they have never won an international contest title. Edwin Wieringh has been one of those people – at least until the weekend of June 11th 2011 when he took the Chaz Sands Invite 2011 Amateur comp. When we got the results from our local media team there was a big "Halleluja!" going on in the office. It was just a matter of time that Edwin would win an international recognized contest. We thought that's reason enough to catch up with the Dutch super dude. Curtains up for Edwin "from hell" Wieringh.... Read More...

6th Annual Gladiator Contest Report with exclusive USD Edit

The Gladiator contest was born in the mind of Cédric Duchemin, and along with his partner in crime Stéphane Luchie, they brought this project to life and made it one of the best park contests of the year, eventually earning itself 3 stars on the WRS rankings. Both really good skaters and great people, those we call “Duch & Stouf” put a lot of work and energy on the line to make this event happen. Originally meant to be a trilogy, the great atmosphere and positive response from the scene kept it going until this year, for its sixth edition. Whether or not there will be another one in the future is still uncertain, but we can only hope the crew finds a way to bring us another incredible event next year!... Read More...

One Day In Kuala Lumpur with Nik Suhaili

Nik has been a big part of my beginnings in skating, him amongst other guys from the International School in Geneva, Switzerland...were the only young riders in Geneva. I didn't hang out much with the older skaters because I was kinda of a dickhead, but we all grow up and look back laughing at how stupid we were....anyway. Nik is a truly good friend, and I really miss the time we spent in Geneva, skating, talking shit, being young and having fun...he even made it to the same public school as I a few years later, and a couple before he moved back to Malaysia. I've seen him again of course, shortly, during comps, and I'm just glad he kept on rolling and I consider him as one of the sickest skaters in south east asia region! - Nicolas Schopfer...
