Piotrek Combrznski Interview + Exclusive “Sky Is The Limit” Preview

There are few bladers from Poland that are known internationally – Piotrek Combrzynski is one of them. Super humble and quiet as a person yet a beast as a rollerblader. Piotrek is one of those people who makes session really fun and amusing, he will always come to you after you land anything and give you props! Picture Me Rolling – Mike Lukewich

Street or park, switch or regular it just doesn't matter to him. This guy reeks of effortless style and poised composure in the most extreme circumstances. Whether it’s jumping back on drop rails, hitting the last trick of an unbelievable line or landing 540° grinds first try in contests that he’s never even attempted prior to the moment. All is kept cool under his fitted hat and his positive personality. ... Read More...

Blast from the Past: Matteo Attanasio

I can’t really remember how long we know each other... But at the time we first met, Matteo was the only German skater with good style. Sorry, that's how it was. He has always been a soul skater. And a playboy on wheels. He wanted to end his pro career at a very young age to skate just for the fun of it. He wanted to have sessions and to travel without any obligations to skate at a contest. Crazy ass dreamer, you say? But guess what: that is what he did! And until now he remains as the first of a complete generation of soul skaters I have met. He is now working on putting this into picture.... Read More...

Report: First Annual „Too Cold To Blade Outside“ Competition

Going into this I knew that it was going to be hectic. For years I have been hosting local shows and helping promote parties so as putting it all together and making people want to come would not be a problem. I mean if you think about all I really did was state the obvious. It is the middle of January, of course it is „Too Cold To Blade Outside“.... Read More...

BuddyTour 2010

What follows is excerpts from a 30 page essay I wrote about Ian's and my mini-tour in December 2010. I've excluded some important, memorable events for brevity's sake involving Toy Story 3, a penis-obsessed Olympic athlete, Mike Lilly, and somebody pepper-spraying a sandwich. It is partly about rollerblading, but mostly a journal I kept while I was traveling. There are a few manipulations of time, but nothing drastic. Some paragraphs were literally copied and pasted out of context so it's not the most cohesive, fluent writing style. Deal with it. ... Read More...

Rollerblade AM Tour through the Netherlands

»We woke up early and drove to Rotterdam Skateland. I spoke with the owners of the park and they were willing to let us skate the park before it opened. Which was cool because we had the whole park on our own for 7 skaters. Dick Heerkens and Adil Farhouni also joined the session.«... Read More...

Camp Woodward Hans Geiger Backup

A few weeks ago word got out on the internet that Camp Woodward was planning a substitute over in Europe. This info wasn't meant to be released to the general public at this point in time and the information disappeared as quickly as it had emerged. This resulted in a huge confusion amongst extreme sports enthusiasts of all flavors all over Europe, if not the world. Will there be a Woodward in Europe in the near future? Where will it be? And most importantly: when will it open its doors? Read this interview with Hans Geiger, the person that instigated it all. Get ready to get the lowdown about the current state of Camp Woodward Europe. Exlusively on Be-Mag.... Read More...

Three lines with Adrien Anne

I was bored in my area so I decided with Dany Molinari and Roman Abrate to go somewhere else and skate some different stuff. We came up with the idea to get to Italy, eat some good food, enjoy the good weather and skate some different spots that haven't been skated before. ... Read More...

Adam Zurawiecki interview

If you think of Rollerblading in Poland you might think of two things at least: Hedonskate and Adam Zurawiecki. Adam is a strong pillar in the Polish skate scene. If you look up his name on youtube, you will find a dozen edits that kicks ass. After a decade of hard skating Adam is still stepping up the game - not only with his skating, but also with his never ending dedication to the sport and some interesting ideas that will make Rollerblading look good and strong. For his Be-Mag interview Adam didn't come up with the normal street skate and interview shots. That's not his nature. instead, he was looking for some extraordinary stuff. ... Read More...

Stephan de Freitas: One Minute, One Spot

Before we get started, let me tell you a little bit about Stephan a.k.a DAS!...If you've never met him, then you're missing out. Not only is he the kindest guy I know, he's also one of those kids you want to hate. Let me paint you a picture: 26 years old, owns a Portuguese bar in Geneva, works there from morning until night, often DJ's in Geneva's local clubs if not elsewhere, has a girlfriend, AND still finds time to be insanely good at rollerblading. That's what he does, sometimes all of them on the same day, this guy does not know a hangover. He is a wonder child that masters anything he touches, and I mean anything. (don't test him you'd be gutted). Winner of the Bulle Contest 2 years in a row...don't miss him this year again on for the High In The Park 2010 WRS*** in Bulle Switzerland (Happening today). ...
